![]() ![]() > I had this problem ("Syncing disabled") after getting a new Galaxy S7, Using these settings for months now and they continue to work for me. They tried these exact settings and still had a problem. I'll repost my earlier message explaining exactly what settings made Time to look for another email app, I guess. Presently there does not seem to be a fix, or even a message saying that they are working on a fix. So, summary is that the problem is known and has not been noted on the K-9 FAQ. Sometimes, I can press one of these truncated permissions and a message comes up telling me that these permissions are for a previous version of K-9, or that K-9 needs to be updated. Personally I do NOT want K-9 to read and update my Contacts list or interact with the Play Store or my Calendar. Under "Additional Permissions" there are 4 choices which are all truncated so you can't read what they are or what they do. I did find a screen of permissions in the K-9 program under Settings/Apps/K-9/Permissions. For most, disabling battery saving for K-9 does not work. That means that K-9 is not able to wake up the phone to fetch mail, and that is a bug. At best, it is a workaround for only a few people. One or two people have checked into battery saving as the reason for no-sync. ![]() Same description, no sync with Android S7 with the latest K-9 version. Please refer to bug 2618, which is a continuation of bug 2357, which is a continuation of another earlier bug. Unfortunately, the K-9 people have not included this information in their FAQ. As usual, it appears that no sync on Android S7 is a known bug and has appeared in the bug tracker for a long time. ![]()
